The Bride Price" is about Adannaya, a well-educated young woman from a wealthy family. She falls in love with Aloysius Okoronta, a spare parts dealer played by Zubby Michael, who isn't wealthy. Adannaya’s father, the Professor, tries to break them apart by demanding a very high bride price.
Will Aloysius cut ties with Adannaya's family after paying a fortune for her hand in marriage? Can their love survive, especially with other billionaire suitors interested in Adannaya?

Review of "Bride Price"
The Bride Price" is competing for the best indigenous language – Igbo category at the next Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA). The film features talented actors like Zubby Micheal, Stanley Chibuna (Funny Bone), Ebele Okaro, Nkem Owoh, and others.
Despite the efforts of these veteran actors, the movie lacks depth and their presence didn’t make it any better. Funny Bone did a good job as the groom’s right-hand man, but the storyline was overly familiar and predictable.
Aloysius’ attempts to gather the bride price dragged on and became unrealistic. Repeating the same lines and using two different scenes to convey the same message about Oasis investment crashing felt unnecessary.
The traditional marriage day was underwhelming and didn’t reflect the high standards expected. A little more effort in the arrangements could have made a better impression.
While the dialogue was good at times, the acting and storyline didn’t live up to it. Overall, "The Bride Price" isn’t spectacular or memorable. We hope they win the AMVCA for their daring efforts, but it’s a 5/10 rating and not worth the time or money.
